Programs

VIRiders offers two programs: The Development program and the Competitive program.

Riders require basic to intermediate snowboarding skills (ie. competent toe and heel turning, stopping and balance).

Development Program

This program is geared toward those riders who wish to improve their all round freestyle abilities. All Riders will be encouraged to enter into local competitions and will have the option to travel off island.

• Price $425.00 early bird rate | $450.00 after Nov 15
  ** Note:(Riders will also have to purchase their $20 rec. BCSA membership)
• Max Coach to rider ratio 8:1
• 1 day/week (Sat) - 6 hrs per week
• 13 sessions over the year
• Focus on Park and Free riding
• Trick development and introduction into creating competitive lines
• Film analysis

Competitive Program

This is a more intensive program with the goal to have riders compete in Provincial wide competitions. Riders interested in this program will be intermediate to advanced. Registration and travel to provincial events will be the responsibility of parents and athletes.

• Price $425.00 early bird rate | $450.00 after Nov 15
  ** Note:(Riders will also have to purchase their $60 BCSA membership if competing in off island FIS events)
• Max Coach to rider ratio 8:1
• 1 day/week (Saturday) - 6 hours per week
• 13 sessions in the season
• Focus will be on creating competitive athletes through advanced skill development, and mental and physical competition preparation.
